A Fantastic Art exhibition Dedicated to Mothers

Narine Malkhasyan exhibited her paintings at the galley of St. Yeghishe Church on Mother’s Day, 19th of March, and dedicated this special event to all mothers.

Mother’s Day celebrates honouring the mother of the family or individual and acknowledging their devotion, dedication, and countless love for their family.

The artist’s work consists of earthy and bright colours. She said she chose flowers as the subject of the event to dedicate them to all mothers: “Of course, it is a special day for all mothers; however, in my heart, I dedicated this exhibition to my mum because she is the one who thought me how to paint and believed in my ability to become a great painter. Painting has been easy for me, and I wasn’t taking it seriously until her death. Only now, I understand painting can be a profession and keep me connected to my mum.” She added: “she is the reason for who I am today, the one who can present to the world her talent, passion, and vision.”

At the exhibition’s beginning, bishop Hovakim Manukyan blessed her for organising this fantastic event for mothers and sisters. The Primate appreciated her art: “the artworks depict the Armenian spirit and colour of spring.”

Members and friends of the community attended the event and enjoyed the beautiful paintings.

Narine is the wife of Varuzhan Nersesyan, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
