Armenian Diocesan Centre

The bishop envisages that the Arachnortaran will contain a modern event space, a religious and spiritual library for ecumenical and Armenian studies, offices and accommodation. Through it, the Diocese would provide facilities and support other initiatives, which would be accessible to the Armenian community.

Importantly, the establishment of the Arachnortaran would also allow the Diocese to continue to develop engagement and involvement with the Armenian youth. The Diocesan Centre will offer a convenient and stable venue for its youth. Although it has become increasingly challenging to engage the youth in church activities, we are confident that we can build upon the success achieved at the Bishop’s House in networking and collaborating with young people and their parents.

There is a need for a safe and welcoming venue for all of the younger members of the Armenian community to meet one another, perhaps reminiscent of the manner in which their parents once met in the preceding decades. An Arachnortaran would provide such a venue, and host appropriate gatherings.
